Water // Water the plant when the top 2-3 inches of soil feels dry. When watering any plant indoors, make sure to water the complete rootball and not just the top surface of the soil. The entire soil mass should be saturated with the excess water poured or drained off. Do not let plants sit in water.
Light // Low to medium, indirect light.
Fertilizer // For optimum plant health, fertilize with an all-purpose houseplant food April through October, following label directions. For all other months, fertilize half as often.
Propagation // One of the easiest plants to propagate: simply slice off a young stem at the base and place in a cup of water to root. When you noticea substantial number of roots at the end of the stem, plant into a sandy soil mixtures.
Plant Info: If the plant receives too little water the leaves will begin to wilt and older leaves often turn a bright yellow. This is why it is important to thoroughly water the entire rootball. The root system is small compared to other indoor plants. When the plant is over-watered and the soil stays wet the roots will rot. In turn, the leaves begin to wilt and lose their healthy look and turn to a pale dull green colour.
